This little valley in Wiltshire is Louise and Chris's haven from the day to day activity of modern life . Used for grazing ponies, wild camping with their kids, exercising their dogs, picnicing and having fun. We all love the colour, wild life and seclusion and thought it was time to share it with others in a way that promotes the benefits of doing things in a sustainable way, respecting nature and supporting other local enterprises.
We put sustainable tourism at the heart of our camping. We encourage our campers to eat local produce and to leave no trace to maintain and encourage biodiversity. The grass is long around the pitches, we supply organic products, never use pesticides and have planted trees and hedges.
Wild Camping Wiltshire is the only wild camping site in Wiltshire to receive a Green Tourism Award. We recycle as much as we can and pursue a reuse, reduce and repurpose approach as often as possible.
Our wild flower meadow and the new trees we have planted help with sequestering carbon and producing oxygen-releasing photosynthesis. We are completely off grid and use solar pv to pump and filter our water and white vinegar to clean up.
Please note we ask for a maximum of 4 people per camping /campervan pitch. We do not accept units larger than a standard 6 person tent per pitch size 5m x 9m. Awnings and pup tents can be included within the 5m x 9m pitch size but pup tents for storage only. Please set our firepits on slabs provided by us to prevent scorching the ground. If bringing your own please do the same. This is to help with our 'leave no trace' mantra. Thank you.
