Just under 3 acres of beautiful, private woodland and paddocks available for off grid and wild camping in East Grafton. Washing basins, separate male and female compost loos, washing up facilities provided from our solar powered bore hole (we are completely off the grid so no electrical hook up nor mains water).
A small charge for well- behaved dogs. A bbq grill and wood can be provided as an added extra. Local produce can also be delivered directly to your pitch!
Wild camping is sleeping in your tent in the wilderness. We believe this also means leaving your car behind, walking or cycling to us with your kit on your back. We think this will help to slow your pace of life, restore your senses and benefit physiologically and psychologically from living closely with nature. Respect nature and leave no trace. Nature will fill you with gratitude in return.
Yes we can accept any booking made online only before 7pm. Please note that we rely on our online booking system to manage all pitch bookings & Greener Camping Club memberships. Due to poor signal on the campsite we cant make bookings or enroll members at Wild Camping Dark Lane.
Your camping basics in your pack. An extra waterproof layer and an extra layer of warm clothing and wooly hat will make your camping trip more enjoyable and safe. If walking, keep your pack as light as possible. It's best to start with a tough and light tent, a sleeping mat and a quality sleeping bag, all in one stove, water filter bottle (if you don't want to carry water) and a good quality torch. We will give you a can of mains drinking water from home; we can also rent you a grill/fire pit and arrange for some lovely edible goodies from our local food partners including Gastro Nicks and the Milk Yard. Ps we always leave a few basics in our store cupboard.

Being outside in nature provides natural aromatherapy. We are exposed to phytochemicals produced by plants to help fight off infection and this enhances our natural killer cells. Spending time outdoors increases positive feelings, boosts self esteem, alleviates stress, sharpens focus and improves sleep to name just a few benefits...
