
The strongest motivator for camping is to relax and feel happy. It is a pathway to physical activity whilst connecting with nature.
We all like to be happy .. it fuels motivation, creativity, stronger relationships and generally makes life more fulfilling!
I founded Out-Fit to be an extension of this. The ethos is to reconnect with the simplicity of exercising in nature. It boosts wellbeing and happiness.
Just 20 minutes exercising in nature every day will have a positive impact .. I challenge you to do it! Exercising outside is especially beneficial as it decreases stress, improves cognitive function, blood pressure, mental health, daily tasks and sleep (ACSM American Fitness Index).
Exercising on a varied terrain makes it easier to push yourself harder spontaneously, improves balance and coordination, it won't be boring as there's plenty to see and your body naturally burns more calories ... fresh air improves oxygen intake.

In 2018 after a health scare I started exercising.
Running seemed a relatively cheap, accessible sport but
I was sceptical about my ability to run as I had never run before and wasn't particularly fit after having four children. I never thought of doing any strength training.
I started with the Couch to 5k app and lots of (much needed) encouragement from my family.
In 2023 gained the level 3 HFE (Health and Fitness Education) diploma in exercise referral, with a level 3 nutrition to support physical exercise and level 2 in planning and delivering gym-based exercise. I work part time as a gym fitness consultant.
I love using our newly installed Xorbars at the campsite.. lots of fun, releasing all those happy exercise endorphins creating a healthy tolerenace to stress.

My role as your fitness instructor is to motivate, instruct and support you to achieve your goals no matter how big or small. Enjoying exercise is key to sticking at it. Feeling fitter leads to a better mood, sleep, eating habits and so on!
I can offer outdoor fitness sessions combining strength training and cardio using our newly installed Xorbars to add to the fun!
Additionally I can provide a tailored fitness programme to those people who have been referred by a GP to increase their physical activity levels., as well as people with existing health conditions, such as heart disease, stroke or type 2 diabetes.
